A cotton thread is rolled across the skin onto individual eyebrow hairs, lifting the smallest of hairs from the roots (epilation). The procedure enables a precise finish for tidy and perfect eyebrows every time.

Eyebrow threading is an ideal way to achieve beautiful shape in as little as 10 minutes.
It is a great alternative to waxing and tweezing, especially for sensitive skin.
Allowing for greater precision than waxing it enables us to shape and perfect your eyebrows every time.
There are three main threading techniques used by eyebrow shaping beauticians.
Figure Eight Technique - Using both hands a figure eight is created with the thread. The beautician leaves her fingers open in one hand whilst the other hands fingers are opened and closed forming a loop, this enables her to catch the hairs to be removed precisely.
The Jaw\Teeth Clinching Technique – The beautician will keep one end of the thread in her mouth, and use her other hand to create a loop over the hair whilst moving her head back and forth to extract the targeted hairs.
The Shoulder and Neck Technique - During Covid 19, we have adopted to this technique, by using this technique we can ensure staff are fully face masked at all times meaning both staff and clients can stay safe in times where viruses can still be transmitted when in close proximity to others.
The Shoulder and Neck technique is now the preferred way of threading at Vanita's Beauty Studio.
Eyebrow waxing is another popular hair removal method. Compared to plucking by tweezers, waxing is a much faster method of facial hair removal.
A thin layer of strip wax is applied to a small section of the skin in the direction of hair growth. As the strip wax cools, it melts onto the top layer of the skin and grips the hair strand that need to be removed.
Once the wax is applied, a waxing strip is placed over the wax and a few seconds later the strip is pulled off in the opposite direction of hair growth leaving you with a clean eyebrow shape.
